SmartGiving is our donation model for GOLD and PLATINUM accounts.
The Booking Threshold
While we give back 10% of our revenues from bookings with every trip booked using one of our tools, once a new user reaches the 10 booking threshold, you will automatically be promoted to Gold level, which makes you eligible for the following:
- Earning a 10% base royalty on each booking
- Choosing your charity of choice for the donation component (10% of gross revenues earned by Solutionz)
SmartGiving Model
If you choose the SmartGiving model for a particular tool, we will donate a percentage of our gross revenues to your charity of choice. For that model, you do not earn a royalty.
What is the donation percentage?
For the SmartGiving Model, Solutionz donates 25% of our gross revenues. This is 5x the amount that Amazon Smile™ gave when they were in operation.
If your chosen charity benefits Veterans/Active Duty Service members or helps to eradicate Human Slavery, we match that donation and give 50% to your qualified charity of choice.
When is the donation made?
The donation is made in your name annually for all of your travel if you are a Gold Level account. If you upgrade to Platinum Level, the donation is made quarterly.
If you are a 501c3, we make the donation monthly.
For event tools using the SmartGiving Model, we donate approximately 60 days after the end of the event.
Does the charity have to be based in the US to be eligible?
Yes, the charity must be registered with the US Internal Revenue Service as a 501c3 to be eligible for the 25% donation level. We exclude charities that do not support family values.
Who decides if the charity is eligible for the matching model?
The Solutionz Executive team will review all matching requests. The charity must first meet the 501c3 threshold and the prospective customer must submit the charity website for our review.
The Tool Types
The SmartGiving tool can be any of the three tool types (Anywhere, which is the default, or the Event or Venue tool).
